She is using her base size, but this can easily be done with a shorter wrap too.

A Heartfelt Thank You

As our 2nd Black Babywearing Week UK draws to a close, we want to THANK YOU all for helping raise the awareness of traditional and cultural babywearing.

Thank you for recognising that there is still LOTS OF WORK TO BE DONE to ensure the babywearing world is inclusive to Black and Brown People by way of babywearing models on brand websites, in leaflets and literature right through to peer supporters and babywearing educators / consultants.

The message strongly coming across this week from our community is that a deeper understanding of cultural babywearing differences also needs to be acknowledged for the policing and being ridiculed in sling libraries for wearing our children the way our ancestors have been doing for centuries using African Cloth.

We must as a collectively acknowledge that there IS no right or wrong way to babywear children!

So long as common sense is used that is all that truly matters.

We look forward to your feedback and suggestions on what you would like to see from us next year.

Until next time
