These pieces are built for both aesthetic and purpose. When designed to be placed on glass flooring, wood or pebbles they can look stunning and add some glamour to your backyard.

They are powered through propane gas and can easily be switched on and off. Some models are portable but for the most part, these are meant to be permanent fixtures in the garden.

Although they cost a lot more than any of the above mentioned items, they last a long time and can be used for various uses. There are many propane fire pit online stores that sell these and also can custom make your very own ones to match the rest of your house. When using them no ash or smoke clouds is being emitted from them, and they are very easy to use.

Propane is also known as LPG or liquefied petroleum gas and it is colorless and non-toxic, and it also doesn’t have a strong smell, so it makes it the ideal element to use when lighting a fire either for entertainment or cooking.

Silhouette Fire Pit

If you are looking for a statement piece, having one of these “silhouette” pits could get you there. They come in various designs and have cut out of different images around the edges to provide a silhouette of something when you look through it, almost like how stained glass looks.

You can have animals, plants, trees etc. all cut out into it and can look exceptionally beautiful once the fire is lit.

One of the reasons why it is cut out into different shapes is to let off more heat than other pits.

It is also a portable option, however will emit smoke so be sure to sit slightly further away from it if you don’t want smoke inhalation or to smell like burnt wood.

At the end whatever you choose to go with, make sure it is the right one for your needs and you have plenty of space for it too!
