How To Save Money Online This Christmas

With just a couple of weeks to go until Christmas, finishing off your Christmas shopping should be one of your top priorities! If like me, you want to avoid hitting the rush in stores, then online shopping will be your saviour. Whilst sometimes it’s better to see gifts in person, it’s so much easier to save money and avoid the crowds when you shop online. With that in mind, here are 5 ways to save money online this Christmas:

1. Sign Up To Newsletters For Exclusive Discounts

Signing up to retailers newsletters is a great way to get access to all of their exclusive discounts. When you sign up you’ll normally be offered a sign-up discount, then you’ll regularly receive emails about deals and offers that are available – ensuring you never miss a sale!

2. Keep Things In Your Shopping Baskets For A Few Days

With marketing automation programmes designed to watch your online shopping habits, it’s been proven that if you leave a couple of items in your basket for a few days then you’ll receive an email asking you if you still want to purchase them. Nine times out of ten, this email will also include a personalised discount code to help persuade you to make your purchase.

So, fill your baskets a few days before you plan to order and wait for your discount code to roll in! You’ll be surprised how often this works!

3. Use Voucher Websites and Coupon Codes

If you’re unsure on the best places to look for discount codes and vouchers, there are lots of different sites out there to help you save money online

Whether you’re shopping for the perfect Christmas outfit or trying to find special gifts for your family and loved ones, they will be able to round up all the online discount codes and vouchers you need. One of the known favourites is Net Voucher Codes.

4. Use Google Shopping To See If You Can Buy Something Cheaper On Another Site

Whilst this may not be possible for all items, it’s always worth checking whether or not you can buy an item cheaper somewhere else.

The best way to do this is to search the product name in your Google search bar, then click the ‘Shoppingtab in your navigation bar.

Once you have your results, you will be able to see the price of the product on one page, allowing you to see which site is the cheapest.

5. Download Retailers Apps For Exclusive Discounts

Similarly to signing up to a newsletter, downloading a retailers app could give you exclusive access to discounts.

Not only, but you can also receive push notifications for when items go on sale, meaning you’ll be one of the first to know when something has been reduced.
