Happy Thursday Beautiful People! I’d thought I’d take the opportunity on this gloomy Thursday afternoon to fill you in on an a event that I personally will be involved in. In celebration of International Women’s Month, Women On The Crossroads Founding Director Sherry Ann Dixon brings you Awesome YOU… a Motivational Dinner held at the Holiday Inn Bloomsberry on Sunday 29th March 15 where the theme of the night is to Empower, Inspire, Motivate and Uplift each other! Keen to find out more, read on….

The event itself will commence at 6:00pm where attendees can look forward to a champagne reception and mingle / network with industry inspirers and other guests before sitting down to enjoy a flavourful Caribbean meal at 7:30 pm. Bellies full and satisfied, the evening will kick off with inspirational talks to boost confidence from industry inspirers.

Remember that I mentioned in the introductory part of this article I have a part to play in this event, well… I was asked by the ever inspirational Sherry Ann Dixon herself to be one of her inspirers for the evening which in short, involves giving an inspirational talk about myself, what I currently do and my own crossroads experience.

Now this opportunity right here ladies and gents is pretty major for me as not only will this be my very first time public speaking at an event aside from University presentations, I will also be talking alongside some of the best keynote speakers in the industry including community role models such as multi- award winner Sonia Meggie (founder of social enterprise Inspirational You), Influential Business Networker Sonia Brown MBE and 3 times Lifetime Achievement award winner Pauline Long (no pressure Dani!)

With the inspirational talks digested (which let’s be honest is bound to motivate and inspire even the least enthusiastic individual) attendees can then look forward to a Fashion Show award by Wari Lace and other award winning designers, performances from poets and singers including Nairobi Thompson , a charity raffle AND an generous giveaway to spend a 5 nights in a 5 * luxury hotel in St Lucia (flights to and from St Lucia are not included).
