Jason Naturals Review – Smoothing Sea Kelp Shampoo and Conditioner For Frizzy Hair Types

Since deciding to make the switch from chemical ridden toxic products to natural and cruelty free a few months back, I have been actively searching for good, recommended and trusted green hair care products to replace the chemical products I had been using. Whilst doing a bit of research on the net I found this in the form of American turned Global Brand Jason Naturals.

 Jason Naturals Background

Jason Naturals were one of the first companies to go down the route of offering natural skincare, hair care and beauty products to the world and having been established since 1959, has since grown from strength to strength and are now one of the leading global brands within the field of Natural and Green beauty and skincare products.

After contacting them via email to find out more about their products, in particular their Sea Kelp Shampoo and Conditioner for Frizzy Hair, their PR representative got back to me and kindly offered to send me the pictured products to try.

I have been using these hair care products religiously over the past few weeks now and would like to share my experience and thoughts with you.

Jason Naturals Smoothing Sea Kelp Shampoo

Now using sea kelp in hair care products may seem quite strange at first as kelp as a tendency to smell a little fishy if you like I are used to taking sea kelp as part of your daily supplements, but I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted with a sweet flower like aroma when I first opened the bottle (one of the best smelling shampoos I have honestly come across).

Made with main natural ingredients such as Ginseng Root & Kukui Nut Oil, the liquid itself is clear, almost see through like in colour and works up a small ish lather, just enough to ensure ones hair is generously coated with the Shampoo in order to give it a good wash.

It is worth mentioning that despite the lack of lather a little really does go a long way and even if used frequently, the 473ml (16 fl oz) bottle will last you for quite some time.

Jason Naturals Smoothing Sea Kelp Conditioner

I do love this part of my hair care regime, for I can leave my desired conditioner on for either a few minutes on half an hour to ensure my hair is rehydrated and gets those all important nutrients for a healthy, frizz free shine and this conditioner did not disappoint!

It is white in colour and quite thick as you would expect a conditioner to be. Once again I was greeted with a wonderful sweet smelling aroma upon opening the bottle for the first time. I usually opt to use a golf sized ball amount of conditioner to evenly coat my hair and used the same procedure when using Jason Naturals.

I was taken aback by just how easy it was to comb my hair through whilst the conditioner was still in my hair. Usually the comb and I would be at war as I attempt to detangle my hair but this was not the case at all for after a few brushes my hair was completely detangled as it absorbed the natural goodness this conditioner had to offer.

Verdict

Being of mixed heritage (mother White English and father Caribbean of Guyanese decent) I have always struggled to find the perfect hair care products that actually work with my hair type!

My dilemma being my hair is neither naturally straight nor kinky or curly as when washed and lwhen left to dry naturally, my hair becomes wavy at first but when brushed out becomes extremely bushy (picture a squirell’s tail haha).

For the first time in like forever my wasn’t bushy when combing out my hair after it had been washed and strangely enough, the shampoo used in conjunction with conditioner brought out defined waves that maintained its shape and springiness once brushed out! (this is a first for me)

I am extremely thankful to have been given the opportunity to try The Jason Natural’s Sea Kelp Shampoo and Conditioner and would most definately be stocking up and purchasing once the bottles kindly sent eventually runs out.

Currently priced at £6.29 each when brought directly from the Jason Naturals UK website, I believe this product is worth investing in if you too have frizzy, hard to manage hair.

Jason Naturals also sell an array of other haircare, skincare, beauty and dental products, most of which have been added to my green beauty ‘must try’ wishlist.
