As my passion for all things superfoods gets noticably stronger with each day that passes, I find myself searching for healthy alternative snacks to incorporate into my daily diet. I’m sure you can imagine my sheer delight when I stumbled across british brand Creative Nature Superfoods.
Creative Nature Background
For those not familiar with Creative Nature, they are a young, ethical organisation that have been supplying high quality, nutritionally dense foods for over six years.
Their products have been sourced from some of the most remote and untouched corners of the earth (Brazil, Peru, China to name a few) where the soil is rich in nutrients and has not been damaged by over farming and the use of agro chemicals.
Creative Nature believes this has resulted in a collection of pure, raw unprocessed natural products, with some of the most potent healing foods on earth.
Fascinated by the massive range of superfoods supplements Creative Nature currently distribute, I got speaking to one of their colleagues in great detail, eagar learn more about some of their products I have yet to come across. The lady I spoke to kindly took the time out to explain how they are harvested, where they originate from and how they are distributed to the UK *I’m a bit of a neek and love learning about various ways we humans can acheive optimal health*
Those that know me well will know that strangly enough, superfood supplements really does bring out the inner child in me. Whilst these are not sweet treats I honestly get that same reaction as a little kid in a candy store.
Well that reaction was relived when I learnt that some of their superfood bars were on there way for me to try and below are my thoughts on their 38g and 50g cold pressed superfoods bars.
Brownie Bar 50g
Upon having my first bite, the texture and taste resembled everything you would associate with a typical brownie brought in most bakeries minus the guilt and calories!
This bar is made with 100% raw Cacao which I’m sure you’ll agree if you tasted Cacao before can sometimes leave a very bitter aftertaste. Suprisingly I didn’t experience this when consuming the brownie bar so this was a plus for me. Due to its thickness I was left feeling full and satisfied and would say this is the perfect bar to have in between meals to keep hunger at bay / prevention of over snacking.
Superberry Bar 50g
This was a delight to have! The wonderful and sweet taste of Chinese Super Fruit Goji Berries (I adore these), combined with cranberries is enough to satisty even those with the sweetest sweet tooth. The ingredients used to create this bar ensures to give you an antioxidant boost whilst being very flavorsome.
Tropical Treat 38g
I was warned by the lady that sent the bars to stay clear of this particular one if I disliked the taste of ginger in anyway. Thankfully me and ginger get on, well more so this year *I have grown to like and appreciate the firery taste*.
This is one of my favourites out of Creative Natures Superfood Bars range. The ginger is noticable but not overpowering and have got to say I absolutely loved the chewiness of the dried pears, pineapple, papaya and apricots. All of these flavours combined awakened my tastebuds to the point a little party was going on inside my mouth.
Sublime Seed 38g
If you are a nut and seeds lover like I, this little beaut will be right up your street. Roasted peanuts, sunflower seeds and hemp protein powder are some of the key ingredients used to create this nutty delight. It reminds me somewhat of a Mr Toms Bar, just better and without the artificial sweetness!
Blissful Berry 38g
This bar resembles the taste of the Super Berry Bar, just a miniture version and less thick. The only slight difference I noticed was the mild taste and flavour of pineapple that seeped through.
Heavenly Cacao 38g
Heavenly Cacao…. my did Creative Nature get the name spot on with this one! Whilst the brownie bar was indeed yummy there was something about this bar that makes it one of my favourites. Funnily enough I cannot put my finger on it as to why as it resembles the Brownie Bar. Maybe because it is thinner in comparison that you get to truly taste the flavours.
These bars a fab! A perfect snack to have during the day without the guilt. What’s more exciting to learn is their 38g bars are available to purchase in most Holland and Barrett stores accross the United Kingdom at an affordable, reasonable price of £0.99! Even better when the store has buy one, get the other half price promotions across their range so you could end up bagging yourself two 38g bars for £1.48 *total bargin*
