My Natural and Organic Chemist4U Haul

Since the arrival of my soon to be 2 year old Son who’s birthday is next week please god I have found myself becoming more frugal and spending money smartly as opposed to purchasing something just because the money is to do so. When I was approached by Chemist4U to order £30.00 worth of products across their site and write about my haul, I decided to set myself a challenge and see just how much useful items I could pick up with a relatively small allowance….

Now most of the products available are known high street brands that contain ingredients I personally choose to avoid since transitioning to natural and organic beauty, haircare and household products so took the time to search the entire site to find items that suited my preference and was surprised to find an array of natural products available at an extremely affordable price. Below are a closer look at all of the items that I ordered.

Natural World Haircare

After typing in the keywords ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ in the search section of the Chemist4U site,  an array of Natural World haircare products came up and was immediately impressed to learn the products were made with 95% natural ingredients AND was super affordable with their hair oil treatments starting at a mere £0.75 p at the time of ordering!

This was the first time I had come across this London based company and after checking out their website and completing a hair questionnaire I was able to select the products that best suited my hair type and condition. I would have loved to have ordered their Moroccan Range but with the Shampoo and Conditioner was sold out at the time of  ordering so I settled on the Chia Seed Oil and Coconut Water shampoo and conditioner which was down from £4.99 to £1.50 each at the time of ordering.

Abidec Multivitamin Drops

I haven’t always been pro-vitamins for I believed that most of the nutrients we need for our body to function can come from the food we consume  but have since warmed to the idea of giving my toddler multivitamin drops on a daily basis for ease of mind that he is getting everything he needs on days he is particularly fussy and outright refuses to eat the food prepared and given to him.

Organixx Baby Biscuits

One can never have enough snacks to hand, especially if they are for a toddler that requests ‘nummies’ almost every minute of the day. I decided to pick up  2 different flavours of Organix Baby Biscuits and stash them as part of my emergency supplies when we were out and about. Each packet was £1.94 at the time of ordering.

Bells Olive Oil

Having a bottle of Olive Oil to hand as part of little Eco’s self care regime is always handy as it has multiple uses including a hair treatment for his curly hair, a few drops in his ears to help release ear wax build up and for keeping his skin moisturised. I ordered a 70ml bottle which came in at £1.25 at the time of ordering.

Sula Pear Drops

Our household is generally refined sugar free by choice so having a packet of hard boiled sweets made with xylitol to suck on whenever my other half and I craved something sweet made this a necessary purchase. A packet of Sula Pear drops was £0.76 p at the time of ordering.

A Selection of OPI Nail Polishes

These were the only non organic and natural items I ordered but as the price of each nail polish was down from £7.99 to just £2.99 at the time of ordering I decided to use the rest of the allowance to treat a dear friend who is nail polish crazy.

Travelling Lite First Aid Kit

One can never know when a situation will call for emergency first aid supplies such as plasters for a grazed knee or a cut on the finger so having a mini kit that did not take up lots of room in my baby changing bag I felt was essential (scissors and cotton wool not included in the pack).

The kit is very compact and will easily fit in ones hand/changing bag or glove compartment in the car without taking up too much room and was a steal at £0.99 p at the time of ordering!

Overall Thoughts on Chemist4U

My overall experience when using this online pharmacy was a pleasant one. I found the website very easy to navigate and was impressed with the many different products on offer. The nail polishes initially chosen was not included in my  order delivered due to being out of stock but the staff were very quick to rectify this and allowed me to choose an alternative which arrived separately the following day.

The items I chose to order may seem like random bits and bobs but wanted to use my voucher to show you the reader just how much different things one can actually pick up when shopping at Chemist4U with a relatively low budget of £30.00.

If you are savvy you can really make the pennies stretch and will most definitely be bookmarking the website to place future orders of essential household items. I hope you have found this article informative and hope to do more hauls in the near future please god.
