Living Arrows Week 17 (2017) – Beginning To Play And Interact With Others

Welcome back to my favourite part of the week, where I share with you beautiful people another installment of Living Arrows. For those not familiar it is a weekly series hosted by Donna Wishart of What The Redhead Said where parents are invited to share and capture moments in their little’s childhood. Here’s what Eco got up to last week…

Living Arrows

The #LivingArrows project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Week 17

Last week we were blessed to have a bit of lovely weather so took the opportunity to take him to see the ducks in his new Little Tikes Fold and Go Trike.

To say he loved the experience was an understatement. He had the biggest smile on his face for the 2 hours we were out and kept holding onto the handle bars whilst making car sounds.

He also has developed a taste for mummy’s Nakd Bars (busily munching on one in the above picture) and would happily eat the whole thing if given the chance (he only has a quarter).

He’s also been attending his weekly Gymboree classes which he absolutely LOVES! It’s the only class we do where he becomes so full of confidence and a sudden burst of energy comes out of nowhere.

He makes the teachers and other parents laugh with his quirky personality and was super proud of him when he displayed effection towards another baby by hugging her during class last Friday.

It’s great to see him beginning to play and interact with his peers as opposed to playing around them.

I’m honestly loving this stage at the moment but know a developmental leap is on the horizon so will be preparing myself for a few challenging days or weeks ahead.

I’m on my way to my local sling library as I type (I will be volunteering soon!) so will have to love you and leave you for now.

Do ensure you check back next week to find out what Eco got up to in Week 18.
