Whilst recently scrolling through my Facebook timeline as you do, I came across a status that Motivational Speaker Paul Carrick Brunson posted and every single word echoed my current approach to life. To me, these words spoke volumes and were extremely empowering, so much so that I just had to break my 9 month hiatus elaborating on quotes to share it with you all. Until last week, I had never heard of Mandy Hale, author of The Single Woman: Life, Love And A Dash of Sass, but LOVE that this particular quote is rapidly being used to express that is it indeed OK to live your life the way you see fit, and not to necessarily succumb to societies expectations and pressures or what is deemed the ‘right thing to do’.

In relation to myself, have always pretty much been a head strong individual. No amount of persuading, pleading or coaxing could get me to do something I wasn’t interested in doing. The same thing can be said about my current 12.5 year relationship with my significant other, and have lost count of the amount of times people have asked me on more than one occasion when we will be getting married and having children as time is getting on *sighs*

Ladies and Gents, Friends, Family and Followers… there is nothing wrong with just being YOU! Celebrate your uniqueness and never be afraid to be own person, have your own views and your ways of doing things. Do not let society’s views influence your decisions,  not EVER!

I myself have never been the type to follow the crowd per se, and whilst this may seem strange and wired to some, I personally wouldn’t have it any other way.

I shall leave you with Mandy Hale’s quote that ultimately inspired this very article which reinforced my approach to life…

“You’ll learn as you get older, that rules are made to be broken. Be bold enough to live life on your terms, and never, ever apologise for it! Go against the grain, refuse to conform, take the road less travelled instead of the well-beaten path. Laugh in the face of adversity, and leap before you look. Dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. March to the beat of your own drummer. And stubbornly refuse to fit in.

 Until next time beautiful people!
