Proud To Be A Member Of Team Spatone – Taking On Macmillan Cycletta Sportive With Olympic World Champion Cyclists Joanna Rowsell MBE and Victoria Pendleton CBE

Just when I think opportunities couldn’t get any better, ping goes my inbox with details about a FANTASTIC opportunity to be a part of Team Spatone to compete in a Human Race Event – Macmillan Cycletta cycle sportive in Surrey on the 12th October 2014, all with a view to raise awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support. Now what makes this extra special for me is the chance to meet AND train with Olympic World champion cyclist Joanna Rowsell MBE and Victoria Pendleton CBE in the lead up to the event held in Surrey, England.

If this isn’t awesome enough Team Spatone will also receive invaluable advice and support from some of the sporting industry’s top experts throughout our training and in the lead up to the main event in October 14 please god.

Those chosen to take part were advised that British Cycling coach and owner of Revolution Cycling Kerry Bircher will create a online personalised training programme for us and each team member will have to personally check in with Kerry on a monthly basis to evaluate our performance so far etc.

Spatone Nutritionist Emma Wooldrage will also be giving team members nutritional advice throughout to help with our training regime. In addition to this we will each receive free Spatone Sport to take *a natural liquid iron food supplement* to help us maintain healthy iron levels throughout training and on race day.

As you can imagine I am completely over the moon to have been personally asked to take part in such an awesome event whilst raising awareness for MacMillan Cancer support as you know by now I do LOVE a challenge!

Not only is it a chance to gain invaluable expert training advice from professionals, coaches and nutritionists at the top of their industry, for me this is a chance to give back to this awesome charity as my much missed Grandfather passed away from Bowel Cancer a few years ago, and if I recall correctly, was cared for by MacMillan Nurses during the last few months before he eventually passed away *Rest In Paradise Grandad* x

I also got the opportunity to recommend a few blogger girlfriends for this challenge and eagerly await to see if they too have been selected to be a part of Team Spatone *fingers crossed*

Our first event will take place on Wednesday 28th May 2014 where the team will be invited to join pro-cyclist and Spatone ambassador Joanna Rowsell MBE at an exclusive spin class with a difference  at Central London’s Boom Cycle with Joanna Rowsell MBE.

Be sure to check back after May 28th May 2014 for details and plenty of pictures our first event with the newly appointed Spatone team and Joanna.
