Be Fit London: A Three Day Female Consumer Exhibition Dedicated To Women’s Health Fitness and Nutrition

For all my health conscious ladies out there, whatever your plans in the first week of May 2015, do ensure you make yourself available to attend Be:Fit London between 1st – 3rd May 15. This is the only female consumer exhibition in the UK which is dedicated to Women’s Health, Fitness and Nutrition. Held at the Business Design Centre in Islington, this three day event will look to welcome 15,000 women in a relaxed, friendly environment to help them on their quest to become fitter and healthier individuals….

Previously known as The Vitality Show, Be:Fit London has continued to grow, showcasing some of the biggest brands in the health, beauty and wellbeing sector and this year looks to exceed that.

Friday 1st May 2015

VOGA with Juliet Murrell | Time: 11.00 am

VOGA is a dynamic fusion of yoga and ‘vogueing’, the latter originating as a highly stylised dance form in 80s New York on the drag ballroom scene. It combines the breath-synchronized movement of yoga with expressive moves of the dance class, fusing power and strength with attitude and flamboyance where slick alignment is key.

Destiny’s Child Medley with Bonnie Parsons | Time: 14:15

Hosted by Seen On Screen Fitness‘ professional dancer Bonnie Parsons (whose clients include Florence & The Machine, Kelly Rowland, JLS) be prepared to have a barrel of laughs whilst working up a sweat by shaking, bouncing, twisting and indeed getting low!

You don’t have to be a professional dancer to take part, nor do you have to worry about having two left feet, for the Destiny’s Child Medley was put together to make women feel confident in themselves and find a form of exercise they love.

Step outside your comfort zone and bring your dance moves from in front of the tv to centre stage with Bonnie Parsons!

Les Mills – GRIT with Reebok | Time: 16:30

Les Mills GRIT is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout lead by Reebok that improves cardiovascular fitness, increase speed and maximize calorie burn. This workout uses a variety of body weight exercises and provides the challenge and intensity you need to get results fast.

Insanity with Tanya Niedzwiecki | Time: 15:00

INSANITY uses MAX Interval Training, which replaces traditional moderate-intensity exercise with maximum-intensity exercise, and trades short intervals of intensity for short periods of rest.

Adding high-intensity exercise forces the body to use fast-twitch muscle fibers not normally engaged in cardio exercise. These fast-twitch fibers continue burning fuel even during lower-intensity exercise.

Uptown Funk Workshop | Time: 12:30

We seem to be having a Seen On Screen Fitness theme here at This Woman’s Word HQ as another one of Bonnie Parsons workshops caught my wondering eye.

Last year, Seen on Screen Fitness delivered a sold out Beyonce class, and something is telling me that you DO NOT want to miss out dancing to the hottest track of the year with their Uptown Funk workshop *sings* Don’t Believe Me Just Waaaattch 😉

The Podium Effect With Louise Hazel

British Olympian and Commonwealth Heptathlon Gold Medallist Louise Hazel will be in attendance to personally take you through one of her free online 60 Day fitness challenges from The Podium Effect.

Now working out alongside a British Olympic athlete does not come around often, if not at all during ones lifetime so I highly recommend you book yourself onto this class PRONTO!

Elimin8tor with Equinox | Time: 14:00

Elimin8tor… intense, full-body training comes to life in an interactive name. Eliminate exercises in an intense countdown using cards as your guide. You will shape the path your workout will take and are then encouraged to test yourself to the absolute limit!

If you also get a buzz from intense, body beasting workouts then this class is certainly for you!

Lead by Nike‘s Global Yoga Ambassador and Master Trainer, Leah Kim will be in attendance to take you through a dynamic yoga workshop. For all you budding yoga enthusiasts out there, this 90 minute class is definitely for you!

Barry’s Bootcamp with Anya Lahiri | Time 15:30 

The most talked about bootcamp style workout amongst fellow fitness enthusiasts, Barry’s Bootcamp is apparently ‘the toughest bootcamp in the word’ and is said to burn over 1000 calories in just ONE session (utter madness I say)

I don’t know about you but with such big claims made, together with the potential no of calories burned per session why wouldn’t you want to give this gruelling workout a try?
