A memorial commemorating Men and Women from Africa and The Caribbean who fought in both World Wars is in danger of not being installed.

The Nubian Jak Community Trust has a shortfall of around 24 Thousand Pounds which it needs to raise by the end of August or the manufacturers of the memorial stones will auction them off privately.

This is the 1st memorial of it’s type which remembers the Regiments of Africa and the Caribbean and their contributions to the war effort and would be a huge shame if the intended unveiling in Brixton this November is never realised.

The legacy of such a memorial would be immeasurable to future generations.
