Now this is not your typical protein shake or energy bar the brand is renowne for, this product is…. Wait for it…. a superfood blend! I found this a pleasant surprise that a protein brand had acknowledged the ever growing demand for all things superfoods amongst health concious active women which ultimately led to PhD Woman creating of Greens & Berries Summer fruits.

My Thoughts

Aside from being high in fibre, containing no added sugar (sucralose) and only 31 calories per serving (1 scoop 10 g),  what I particularly like about this formula the inclusion of numerous micronutrients I have on a daily basis, including  but not limited to Spirulina, Barely Brass, Wheatgrass, Goji Berries and Acai Berries which makes the price of £29.99 for a 500 g tub pretty reasonable considering the cost of Spirulina and Acai Berry Powder on their own.

As far as taste goes, it has a pleasant hint of summer berries without being too overpowering. For me, it is not tastiest green powder I have had the pleasure of tasting, but would still recommend investing in a tub or two should you be looking to increase your micronutrient intake without the heavy price tag purchasing superfoods usually comes with.

I shall conclude my thoughts by expressing this product should NOT be used as a meal replacement, but simply to consume as part of a healthy, balanced diet either mixed with just water or in your favorite drink /  homemade smoothie.

Hi Helen, thank you for stopping by to read my article. Yes I agree, the price is reasonable considering that a 100 g of Spirulina and Acai Berry powder on its own are between £12 – £14. Plus the tub is 300g! Will you be taking advantage of the 25% discount on this product at all?

    • Hi Helen, thanks for passing by my site 🙂 I’m not sure why my original reply didn’t go through so do accept my sincere apologies! I LOVE products like these as it ensures we get the recommended micro-nutrients in our system, something that is often overlooked as the sole focus is usually macros. Have you tried this formula yet?

This sounds awesome. Just what I’m looking for. Thanks Dani for the comprehensive information on this product, this has helped my decision in incorporating this into my diet and will be great mixed in my new PROMiXX mixer.

    • Hey Sue, thanks for stopping by and reading this article. I’m glad my insight helped you make an informed decision to incorporate Greens and Berries in your diet as purchasing each super food listed on its own can be very expensive. The PROMiXX mixer will give it a smooth texture *no more bits* 🙂
