Weleda Skin Food Review – A Deep Penetrating Natural Body Cream For Dry Skin

As part of my transition to natural haircare, cosmetics, beauty and skincare products, I recently got the opportunity to try a Weleda product of my choice. Having browsed their website and after speaking to a lovely lady named Susie *one of their pr representatives* about the brand in depth, I settled on trying out their deep penetrating body cream for dry skin as the name of the product ‘Skin Food’ instantly grabbed my attention.

I chose this product as I was after something moisturizing that I could use on my entire body, in particular my hands in between my fingers as they sustained a battering during our cold wintery spell and harsh conditions and was sold after reading the products description on their site.

“Weleda Skin Food is a deep-penetrating replenishing skin repair cream for dry patches of skin and for added protection.  Ideal for skin that is dry, flaky and in need of extra care”.

Before I share my thoughts on this body cream I thought I would take the opportunity to enlighten you on Weleda’s background for those less familiar with the beauty brand.

Weleda Background

The slight but noticeable aroma of sweet oranges and rosemary can be smelt when applying the cream and have so far used this on my hands, feet, and my back which often gets neglected *with the help of the Mr*

Verdict
Having used Weleda’s Skin Food regularly over the past month, I find that it really does the trick in keeping my skin moisturized whilst it benefits from the wonderful essential oils and minerals used to make this product. Being an extremely active person who regularly exercises my skin is often left quite dry in areas after working up a sweat and found that Skin Food has worked a treat to keep dry, flaky skin at bay.

If you are looking for a deep penetrating, sweet smelling natural and organic body cream Skin Food is a must! It is currently priced at a very reasonable £9.99 when purchased from Weleda UK’s site directly.

It is worth mentioning that this product has also won numerous awards within the natural and green beauty industry which made me want to see if this product lived up to the praise surrounding it and am pleased to say I am very satisfied with Skin Food and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it as a handbag / work desk essential once the tube sent eventually runs out.

I  was also unexpectedly given two travel sized Arnica Oil bottles to try as Susie took note that I was a Kick-boxer and might be in need of treating tired, aching muscles and joints (part of main picture) and my was she right as this product proved to be vital in the lead up to my sucessful completion of my 1st Dan Black Belt Grading Exam and the full review will be available to read this week 🙂
