MyPure: Acorelle Review – 100% Organic Complete Waxing Kit Containing 32 Assorted Cold Hypoallergenic Waxing Strips

Sometimes, despite our best efforts, making an appointment to visit our trusted beautician at her place of work for waxing treatments is just not possible. What is a woman to do when hair follicles start growing back? I for one despise and refuse to use a razor to remove unwanted hair from parts of my body so thought I’d try out Acorelle Complete Waxing Kit for this months MyPure Beauty review.

Acorelle has a good selection of hair removal products on MyPure site, including sugar wax with strips, hair removal cream, hair growth minimiser’s and royal jelly wax specifically for underarms and bikini area to name a few.

The complete waxing kit I opted for is Acorelle’s 1st complete kit of cold, hypoallergenic, 100% natural and organic certified wax strips and include a total of 32 assorted strips that can be used for the entire body.

The pack contains:

• Eyebrows x 4
• Underarms & Bikini x 8
• Body x 10
• x 1 Post hair removal hair care to remove any potential wax residue whilst softening the skin.

How To Use In  Three Simple Steps

1) Preparing the wax strips for application

As these wax strips are cold, you’ll need to warm them up in order for them to work properly. You do this by rubbing your chosen double strip between the palms of your hands between 30 seconds to 1 minute. You will begin to notice the wax strips warming up by the friction of hands and once you have reached your desired time, remove from the palm of your hand and carefully separate the two wax strips. You now have two ready to use wax strips.

Note: For best results apply wax to cool, dry skin before bathing

2) Removing hair follicles successfully

Apply the strip on your chosen area to be waxed whilst pressing down and firmly rubbing in the direction of the hair growth. Now for the important bit! Ensure you stretch the skin with one hand, and with the other quickly remove the strip by pulling it at once , parallel to the skin and in the same direction as the hair growth. Note: One strip can be used up to several times, or for as long as it sticks to ones skin before being discarded.

3) Post hair removal care

Apply the organic sweet almond post hair remove care to the area that has just been waxed to remove any wax residues left on the skin. This oil also helps to reduce redness and does a wonderful job at softening the area.

Cost
Acorelle complete cold, hypoallergenic 32 assorted wax strips are available to purchase at a reasonable £8.54 when brought directly from MyPure site. This might be a tad more expensive than your typical non natural and organic brands available on the high street but as I choose to use natural and organic beauty products I wouldn’t hesitate at purchasing these again when the strips run out.

Verdict
Now I must hold my hands up and confess that I’m BIG on convenience! Truth be told any product that reduces time in completing certain tasks gets a MASSIVE thumbs up from me as we unfortunately live in a world where time is of the essence as they say.

This complete cold waxing kit is perfect for use at home when you’re in a rush to get somewhere and genuinely don’t have time to spend 30 mins + using an epilator.

Such as the compact size of the box, it is also ideal to take with you on holiday, thus minimising the amount of liquid items you take with you (always a plus).

I personally found the strips itself adequately removes the hair and have so far used two eyebrow strips for my upper lip and two for my underarms and bikini area.

I must make mention this product might not be for you if you are at all sensitive to pain (the pain felt is over in a second I promise) or if do not have a high pain threshold. I have been actively waxing since my late teens and have become immune to the pain usually felt when getting my underarms, legs or bikini line waxed so it didn’t bother me using these strips on myself.  Overall score 8/10
