Leonor Greyl Part 2: Masque à L’Orchidée – Natural Deep Conditioning Mask For Dry and Frizzy Hair Types

As part of the Leonor Greyl products delivered by the lovely people of Azur PR, and as mentioned in my Leonor Greyl Part 1 article about this brand, the next product I will be sharing my thoughts with is the Leonor Greyl Masque à L’Orchidée  starting with yep, you guessed right, packaging…

Packaging

The Masque A L’Orchidee is packaged in a decent sized square box with bold black lettering as seen in the picture above. Whilst not as eye-catching as Revivisence, the Leonor Greyl Logo on both the centre and top of the box is metallic Silver and also slightly raised. Score 8/10

This deep conditioning mask is made for thick, very dry or frizzy hair types to soften, moisturise and nourish ones hair. The product comes with a branded Leonor Greyl spatula so you can scoop the desired amount onto the palm of your hands and spread evenly throughout ones hair.

It has a thick creamy Shea Butter like texture and does a fantastic job of coating to ensure each strand gets the much needed nutrients. The mask is formulated with plant ceramides that strengthen the hair, film-forming silk proteins for unparalleled shine and botanical oils to increase hair flexibility.

Once thoroughly coated, I like to part my hair down the middle, plait each side and leave it in for a maximum of 15 mins just to give my hair a nourishing deep condition. Product Score 10/10

Price

The Leonor Greyl Masque à L’Orchidée is currently priced at €39.15 (£31.38) when purchased from their website direct. Whilst I agree the price being pretty steep for a tub of conditioner, I would have to point out this isn’t in the same bracket of ordinary day to day hair-care products so therefore feel the price is justifiable for those seeking to invest in higher end, luxury hair care products. Score 8/10

Verdict

Being the active individual I am my hair is unfortunately susceptible to becoming very dry and straw like from all the sweating I do and was an absolute treat to coat my tresses with this particular product.

On the four occasions I have used this masque, it left my hair extra silky once washed off and was surprised to look in the mirror and see my before barely there waves, much more defined. I’m a big fan of deep conditioning hair masks that nourishes my hair and love love loved using Masque à L’Orchidée!

It also brought the life back into my hair and which left my locks looking noticeably healthier and glossy with a slight bounce. It is worth mentioning my hair is usually quite limp and lifeless so was pleased to experience a surprise bonus of added volume during the times I have used this product. Overall score 9.5/10

If you too are on the lookout for higher end hair-care products or a luxurious deep conditioning mask made with natural ingredients, Leonor Greyl comes highly recommended!
