Charli Cohen VIS Review – A Young British Sports Luxe Designer’s Debt SS14 VIS Collection

For all you woman that LOVE to rock high performance active-wear combined with sports luxe fashion, please let me introduce you to the ‘VIS SS14 Collection’ brought to you by Charli Cohen, a young  talented British Designer and Personal Trainer who graduated from Kingston University in 2012 as Womenswear Student of The Year!

More about Charli and how she got involved in the wonderful worlds of fashion and fitness will be revealed in an upcoming profiles interview scheduled to be published right here over the next two weeks, but for now, I would like to focus on her awesome debt collection entitled ‘VIS’ .

Launched back in mid July, Charli Cohen’s sports luxe pieces have gained massive popularity over the months, and is currently growing from strength to  strength, catching the eye’s of many within the fashion industry.  The  striking use of yellow against black and charcoals makes this collection stand out for all the right reasons!

As part of London Fashion week 2013, Charli Cohen was one of the designers to headline at The Lomax ‘Fit Fashion’ Trunk Show on Tuesday 10th September, so when an invitation to this event landed in my email inbox from Charli herself, I immediately jumped at the chance to view the collection in the flesh as well and looking forward to finally meeting the brainchild behind the brand.

Having viewed her look-book online prior to attending the Trunk Show, I made myself familiar with the pieces her collection had to offer but to actually view them in the flesh was a joyous experience to say the least!

The choice to use super soft fabrics such as Colorado (a micro polyamid with a soft, brushed finished) and Vuelta (a teasled technical fabric, protectively cushioned for exceptional breathability)  to create these pieces were spot on, as the garments were incredibly soft to touch to the point where I didn’t want to take the jackets I had tried on off *super soft and cosy*.

Charli has carefully designed the pieces so that they can be worn and look equally great with heels and jeans *as demonstrated by moi in the pictures above*. I am sporting the oversized and very comfortable ‘amplify hoodie’ in the top picture and the velocity jacket in the bottom picture *one of my standout fav’s from the collection*
