In order to achieve optimal health I am a firm believer of being healthy on the inside and out. For me this means striving to be the best version of myself physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
I do this by constantly improving my physical ability by leading a fit and active lifestyle via my chosen discipline Martial Arts (in particular Kick-boxing), looking after my body by eating whole-foods, fruits and vegetables (no refined sugars, GMO’s or other nasties), taking superfood supplements to give my internal body parts and digestive system the essentials nutrients it needs to work efficiently and by training the brain mentally in order to keep it sharp by continuing to increase my knowledge in an array of different subjects and topics via reading whilst esuring that I meditate for at least 15 minutes a day.
l am not a complete newbie to meditation, for I have been doing alot of research and reading on this fascinating topic of inner health and wellbeing since late October last year.
I am happy to say I have now got to grips with just sitting completely still in a quite setting (preferably silence) for 15 minutes each day, eyes closed and channelling my thoughts to repeat a motivational and positive mantra within the duration set without my mind straying onto other things (hard to believe for someone who normally fidgets constantly).
With that said I feel that by undertaking the free 14 day meditation challenge I came across online with Mind Space UK, I will further enhance my knowledge and gain a greater understanding of the various techniques to use such as breathing to successfully connect with myself on a much more spiritual level that will ultimately allow me to be fully in control of my thoughts and feelings.
